CAST ANNOUNCEMENT: "Five Girls For Every Guy" PRESS RELEASE "Five Girls For Every Guy" Cast Selected The Rantoul Theatre Group has chosen its cast for its original comedy production of "Five Girls For Every Guy." The play will be performed on May 25, 26, 27, and June 1, 2, 3, 2012 at the Grissom Hall Theatre at 914 Arends Blvd, Rantoul, Illinois with local actors from Rantoul, Paxton, Gifford, Urbana, and Champaign. Friday and Saturday evening performances start at 8:00 p.m. Two Sunday matinees will begin at 2:00 p.m. Heading the cast are: Andy Decker, (Urbana) as Tommy McCall and David Heckman, (Champaign) as Alvin Maxwell. Karen Hughes, (Rantoul) plays Brandy Lee Franklin, the counter server at Chicago's Best Coffee. The five girlfriends are played by Bridget Schlueter, (Rantoul) as Melanie; Venus Fuller, (Rantoul) as Carol Jean; Catherine Scudder, (Gifford) as Mary Ann; Tabitha Hess, (Paxton) as Susan; and Shannon Satterlee, (Paxton) as Sally. Harriet Hinderer (Rantoul) is a surprise mystery guest. Larry Smith directs the play with Mariah Brown as Assistant Director/Stage Manager. "Five Girls For Every Guy" is a romance comedy about a guy from Chicago who can not get a girlfriend, even with the help of his sidekick, Al, who loans Tommy his date book with over 100 girlfriends names. And yet, Tommy still cannot get a date. Then, when Tommy makes a wish, as "Luck" would have it, girls begin to throw themselves at his feet. Although Al teaches Tommy the "Russell Method" for picking up girls there are bound to be troubles and heartaches! Can Tommy juggle dating five girls at the same time? It remains to be seen! The play is suitable for Junior High School and older. There is no profanity used in this show. The Rantoul Theatre Group has 190 seats and free parking.
