Contestants Sought 4th ANNUAL CMN FUNDRAISER OPERATION BROADWAY The 4th annual "Operation" fundraiser for Children's Miracle Network held at the Rantoul Wal-Mart is hosting two competitions this year on Saturday June 7, 2008 from 9 am to 4 pm. The first is a reality type competition called the SEARCH FOR ANNIE. Young ladies age 5 years and up are encouraged to enter this contest -- practice TOMORROW and submit an application form. The cost to enter will be $10.00 -- checks payable to Children's Miracle Network. This contest will be judged by 3-4 judges. The prize package to date includes an appearance in WCIA, a performance at the Business After Hours in June, an performance at the Chanute Aire Force Museum July 12th, a car to ride in the 4th of July parade in Rantoul, A tiara donated by Lindsey Lane Bridal Cottage, a locket from Wal-Mart, a SANDY dog donated by Dena's Hallmark, a bouquet of flowers from House of Flowers and a photo by Judge Photography. The above photo shows Sandy wearing the tiara and the locket beside Sandy. There will be a meeting Wednesday May 28th starting at 6:00 to assign times and to make sure everything is in order and a chance to rehearse singing TOMORROW. The second competition will be teams of 5 people (families, businesses or organizations) with an entry fee of $25.00 ($5.00 per person) made payable to Children's Miracle Network to compete in the live Family Feud. There will be prizes for the team that wins and this is a wonderful chance to compete in a game show. Application forms can be downloaded here. This years event is called OPERATION BROADWAY. IN the morning we will have a keorake contest from 9-12 so bring your fans along to vote. Every penny counts as a vote this will be followed by performances from the Paxton Majestic Theater group, Rantoul Theater group and theater friends from Champaign-Urbana performing Broadway and off-Broadway songs in the afternoon. All proceeds benefit Children's Miracle Network, please help make a miracle come true for children. xxx |
